Currently, we have particular interest in receiving applications for the following positions:
Position: Junior Engineer – Transportation/Traffic
Responsibilities
- Develop knowledge of current transportation industry practices and standards
- Calculate growth rates and trip generation
- Evaluate operating conditions for signalized and unsignalized intersections
- Identify required roadway improvements
- Prepare Traffic Impact Assessment reports
- Functional / preliminary and detail design of roadways and roadway modifications
- Geometric design, grading and contract documents
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering – Interest or Concentration in Transportation/Traffic
- Field or Site Work experience an asset (survey, inspection)
- Knowledge of the following software would be an asset
- Synchro Ver. 6 Traffic software
- SIDRA (Roundabout software)
- AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong communication skills, technical writing skills.
- Independent, displaying a high level of commitment
- Committed to obtaining P.Eng. designation
Position: Civil Engineering Technologist
Responsibilities:
- Preparing engineering design drawings using AutoCad/Civil 3D 2008
- Assisting with grading / servicing design and cost estimates
- Develop knowledge of current industry practices and standards
Skills and Qualifications:
- Civil Engineering Technology Diploma or Architectural Diploma
- Field or Site Work experience an asset (survey, inspection)
- Knowledge of the following software:
- AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong communication skills
Positions: Junior Civil Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop design concepts provided by senior staff into preliminary designs
- Preparation of design briefs, detailed calculations for sizing sewer system and appurtenances, as well as other infrastructure elements
- Involved in grading / servicing design, cost estimates and report writing
- Develop knowledge of current industry practices and standards
- Undertake engineering analysis following approved standards and procedures
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- Field or Site Work experience an asset (survey, inspection)
- Knowledge of the following software would be an asset
- AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong communication skills, technical writing skills
